Which clothing brands are sustainable?
There are many brands that already sell sustainable clothing and that is a good development. These brands take the planet, animals and people into account. They use materials that are less harmful to the planet.
But which brands actually sell sustainable clothing?
Here are some examples of brands that sell sustainable clothing on our own website, but also brands outside of that.
Our sustainable designers:
Ludus
Ludus is a sustainable agenda-setting label that makes clothing from natural fabrics such as cotton, silk, linen, wool and upcycled leather with minimal or no waste in the production cycle.
Ludus was founded in 2010 as an in-store label for the needs of the customers of the eponymous concept store. Now Dragan Hristov, co-founder and owner of Ludus concept store has focused solely on developing Ludus as an agenda-setting fashion label.
Kay g
Kay G also has a sustainable collection with handmade and unique pieces, which are made in Mallorca and inspired by the Balearic Islands. All my collections are made in Spain and I pay great attention to originality, details and finishing to create an elegant and timeless look!
ZGEST
Founded in 2016, the Z.G.EST brand’s mission is to provide timeless and sustainable fashion with an emphasis on quality, functionality and style. Simple yet sophisticated designs are made in Armenia entirely from biodegradable and surplus stock.
Other designers:
Armedangels
When you talk about a timeless and casual sustainable brand, you say ARMEDANGELS. Honest never goes out of fashion, that is the statement they want to make. They don’t want to be part of the abuses in the clothing industry and they have been working hard for that since 2007. They use 100% sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, Tencel® and organic wool.
Studio jux
Studio JUX = design + eco + fair. Since 2008 this clothing brand produces clothes in its own factory in Kathmandu (Nepal), in order to create employment in the country. They have a flagship store at Ceintuurbaan where they sell their own brand as well as other sustainable brands.
Joline Julink
Joline Jolink has a large part of her collections made from remnants of fabrics. In this way, surplus luxury materials are given a second chance and are saved from destruction. Moreover, no new raw materials are used. You happy, Mother Nature happy.
Ecoalf
The Spanish fashion label Ecoalf, is known for its dedication to people and the planet. Ecoalf’s vision is to stop using natural resources carelessly.
Ecoalf produces clothes from waste that they collect with the project Upcycling the Oceans, a global adventure that, with the support of fishermen, helps remove marine waste from the bottom of the oceans. May many companies follow!
